About Me

Since graduating from Wellesley College in May 2020 with my Bachelors in Philosophy and Spanish, I have been building my experience in the field of education. I began private tutoring in the summer of 2021 before accepting a Long-Term Substitute Spanish teaching position at The Archer School for Girls (1/22-4/22) and later working as the school's Library Assistant (9/22-8/23). From September 2023-June 2024, I completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship grant in Asturias, Spain, wherein I taught English courses to grade levels 7-12 at two schools. Most recently, I was a Summer EFL Instructor with the PLUS Education Corporation in Los Angeles, California, instructing B1, B2, and C1 level English courses.

As a lifelong, dedicated learner and educator, I focus on finding joy in the learning process, connecting genuinely with my students, and making learning accessible. In my work, I aim to simultaneously grow students' personal confidence and maximize their academic potential. Through my personalized approach I have found students are more comfortable speaking up in class and often perform at a higher level in class and on assignments.

Per my experience as a classroom teacher, I have found many of my strategies and materials useful for students and integral to learning. Please read below to learn more about my tutoring philosophy.

I am happy to return to tutoring after having completed a Máster de Formación Permanente (MFP) in ESL & Bilingual Education through the Universidad de Alcalá Teach & Learn Program in Madrid, Spain.

tutoring approach

I prioritize a flexible, student-centered approach that honors diverse learning styles—whether your student thrives through visual aids, interactive conversation, or structured practice. I use engaging, culturally relevant content and tech-integrated methods to keep sessions dynamic and effective. Rooted in 21st-century teaching practices, my philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, communication, and confidence-building. Whether your learner needs support, enrichment, or bilingual fluency, I create an inclusive, growth-oriented space where language comes alive.

language instruction/tutoring:

During tutoring sessions, I incorporate real-life contexts like role-playing conversations, analyzing social media posts, reading about current events, and exploring music or pop culture in the target language to make learning feel meaningful and fun. I also work side-by-side with students on their homework or school assignments, reinforcing classroom concepts while connecting them to real-world usage. My goal is always to make language relatable, interactive, and empowering—so students don’t just memorize words, but truly use them.

essay writing and study skills:

I also specialize in guiding students through the entire essay-writing process—from brainstorming and outlining to drafting, revising, and polishing final submissions. Whether it's a literary analysis, personal statement, or research-based paper, I help students build clarity, voice, and structure while fostering independent thinking. Beyond writing, I work with each learner to develop personalized study habits that match their strengths—whether through visual organizers, time-management strategies, or breaking tasks into manageable steps. With experience supporting students with ADD, ADHD, and other learning differences, I incorporate inclusive, flexible approaches like movement breaks, focus tools, and multi-sensory learning techniques to ensure every student feels supported, capable, and heard. My goal is to meet students where they are and help them grow with confidence.
